Linda M. Penix

Training Officer, ApprenticeOhio

With over 24 years of public service at the state level, Linda Penix currently serves as a Training Officer in ApprenticeOhio, at the Ohio Department of Job and Family Services. For the past 24 years, she has provided training to the staff on many programs or topics most recently apprenticeship. Her passion for training and the development of staff has led her to her 3rd year with ApprenticeOhio. Her goal is to improve organizational performance and evolve the training plans of ApprenticeOhio for staff and partners.  Penix is a native of Mogadore, in Summit County. In her time outside of work, she enjoys spending time with her husband and sons.

Deb Bennett

Vice President of Apprenticeship, Telecommunications Industry Registered Apprenticeship Program (TIRAP) at WIA

Training tomorrow’s leaders in the infrastructure workforce is Deb Bennett’s specific challenge and inspiration. In her current role with WIA, she not only leads the operations of the Telecommunications Industry Registered Apprenticeship Program (TIRAP), she also servers to guide and mentor employers through the registered apprenticeship process. 

Deb also consults on education/workforce development issues, and serves as WIA’s Staff Liaison for the Women's Wireless Leadership Forum (WWLF).

Sara Lang - Moderator

Senior Manager of Workforce Solutions, WIA

Sara oversees major initiatives such as Ohio’s Broadband and 5G Sector Partnership, where WIA serves as the lead industry intermediary, driving efforts to align workforce training with the rapidly changing demands of the broadband and wireless industries.
